Raised on a lava flow of 1334, Stazzo is one of the five sea villages of the Lemon Riviera of Acireale. This favourable position allow our guests to easily reach both sea places like Isola Bella, Santa Tecla, Acitrezza, Acicastello and mountain villages such as Zafferana Etnea, Pedara and so on.
Its advantaged position gives us an incomparable view of Etna from one of the most suggestive places of the lava cliff and the Ionean sea coasts, with the opportunity to reach the main places of the Ionean coast such as Acireale, Acitrezza, Aci Castello, Zafferana, Catania, Taormina, the beaches of Riposto and Giardini Naxos, the woods and the lava flows of the National Park of Etna.
The Ionian-Etnean territory offers a lot of opportunities to have fun or to discover the local environment. Those who love nature and practising sport could go for a daytrip in mountain bike or go underwater fishing or go trekking.
Within walking distance of our B&B you will find a mini market, many restaurants, pizzerias, bars, pubs and cinemas.

BY PLANE
From Catania airport "Fontanarossa" you can:
- Take a fast bus (travel duration about one hour);
- Take a taxi or rent a car.
Stazzo is about 40 km far from Catania airport and thanks to an agreement drawn with our B&B you could get advantageous taxi rates to reach our B&B by taxi.
BY TRAIN
- The trains that link Rome and Northern Italy to Syracuse arrive to "Acireale" train station. You can get a taxi or a bus to reach Giovanni Palace from there.
BY BUS
- "Interbus" bus company relies Rome and the main Italian cities with Acireale.
BY CAR
Distance from the main Sicilian towns:
- Acireale: 5 Km;
- Catania: 20 Km;
- Taormina: 30 Km;
- Agrigento: 180 Km;
- Palermo: 208 Km.
Take highway A18 from Messina or Catania and go towards Acireale, then follow the directions to Stazzo.
Panoramic itinerary
Another possibility for those who come from Catania is to follow the tourist itinerary of route SS114. Going across the sea front or the Catania ring road, you will arrive in Ognina. After that you will see Acicastello castle on your right, Acitrezza stacks, the Belvedere of Timpa in Acireale and Santa Tecla coasts. You will then discover, looking left, the imposing presence of Etna volcano along the whole itinerary.
